Desktop Gmail also lets you select 50 emails to start, but it doesn’t call the “select all” button, and there’s an additional “select all conversations in inbox” button you can press after your first 50 emails to add the rest. . By the way, I still don’t see this change on my Pixel, despite having the latest version of the app. 9to5Google says it is being implemented as a server side change, so you won’t see it until it’s there.
