One person fell off a cliff in the Blue Mountains and a second person was injured and paramedics rushed to the scene.

In a statement, NSW Ambulance said a rescue helicopter was en route to Portal Lookout in Glenbrook.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 8:25 a.m. Tuesday.

Photos from the scene show emergency services scaling the cliff to reach the trapped patients.

The injuries to the patients are unknown.

No further details are currently available.

Ray Hadley of 2GB Radio told his listeners that ‘something’s going on here’.

The latest incidents come hours after the body of a man who went missing while canyoneering in the Blue Mountains was found.

The 39-year-old man from St Ives was canyoning with a group in the River Wollangambe at Mount Wilson on Sunday afternoon when he went missing.

His body was found the next morning.
