Glen Powell admitted to his fans that a steamy scene was cut from his latest film Twisters.
The handsome 35-year-old actor, who was recently spotted “flirting all night” with Gracie Abrams, said Ranting on the screen on Friday that executive producer Steven Spielberg removed his kiss scene with co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones because it was “too cliché.”
Fans were devastated to discover that the two leads never kiss, especially since it would have given the film a happy ending.
“I take it very personally,” Glen joked.
“I’m sure you’ve seen the behind-the-scenes footage, where I got to kiss Daisy Edgar-Jones, which is all that counts. (Laughs) We had a great time and I’m very proud of the film,” he explained to the media.

The Top Gun: Maverick star said the fan response to the scene being cut “shows that people care, which is really cool.”
She continued: “I love how excited people are about that movie, and Daisy and I send each other TikToks and gifs. There’s so much fun stuff coming out of that. It’s fun.”
“That’s what summer cinema is all about. That’s what it’s all about: creating a conversation and a cultural moment, and people dressing up and doing whatever they want. It’s been really fantastic. So, kiss or no kiss, everybody wins,” she said.
As for why she thinks the long-awaited scene was removed, Daisy hinted that there will be a sequel in another interview with Collider saying that “it’s not the end of their story.”
The 26-year-old actress said: “I think it’s really wonderful to feel like there’s a continuation. This is not the end of their story. They’re united by their shared passion for something.”
Glen chimed in: “I also think this movie isn’t about them finding love. It’s about getting Kate back to what she loves, which is chasing storms. So that’s what we have at the end of the movie.”
“They share that thing, and their passion is rekindled, and their sense of home is rekindled. I feel like a kiss wouldn’t be representative of the right goal at the end of the movie. And it’s a nice note from Spielberg. That’s why that guy is still in this game. It’s amazing,” she said.
