Glamorous female racers didn’t let the rainy weather stop them from putting their best fashion foot forward as they arrived for Ladies’ Day at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey.

Despite the drizzly weather, thousands of women brought the sun in their prettiest summer dresses and elaborate hats as they descended the racecourse to start the weekend off right with a day of festivities.

With umbrellas in hand, many refused to let the rain dampen their spirits and were seen getting into the festive spirit early on, with glasses of Pimms and mini bottles of Moët Champage flowing.

Women in pastel dresses and statement jumpsuits arrived by the dozen for the event – a mainstay in Britain’s racing and social calendar.

This year’s The Style Awards is open to both men and women, seeking out the best-dressed riders on the course.

Grand prizes include a year’s supply of dresses from Chi Chi London, a year’s supply of shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt, Jeroboam from Moët & Chandon and an exclusive Jessica Rea headpiece, plus personalized styling advice.

Unsurprisingly, race-goers wanted to pull out all the stops when it came to their looks, pushing the boundaries with outfits that were both creative and elegant.

Popular cold shoulder and strappy clothing styles allowed many women to show a hint of skin without showing too much on display.

As a nod to the previously sunny weather, many opted for dresses in vibrant shades of pink, yellow and purple and printed with soft floral patterns.
