Despite the drizzly weather, thousands of women brought the sun in their prettiest summer dresses and elaborate hats as they descended the racecourse to start the weekend off right with a day of festivities.
With umbrellas in hand, many refused to let the rain dampen their spirits and were seen getting into the festive spirit early on, with glasses of Pimms and mini bottles of Moët Champage flowing.
