A glamorous Palm Beach stable owner allegedly had her nose cut off with a machete by a drunken horse groomer.

Aimee Waters, 74, of Wellington, and her friend Joe Hawk were found by police with serious injuries Tuesday around 8 p.m. after she called the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and told them she They had cut off the nose, according to CBS 12.

His alleged attacker was his employee, Abundio Jasso, 56, whom he hired about a month ago to groom horses.

Jasso lived on her property in a mobile home and she told officers their relationship was strained due to his frequent intoxication, CBS 12 said.

On Tuesday, the barn owner noticed that Jasso had not completed his nightly check of the barn and approached him, along with his tenant Joseph Hawk.

When the 56-year-old man opened the door to the RV, he allegedly shined a flashlight in their eyes and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

Waters and Hawk then went to finish the night check alone, but Jasso allegedly stormed into the stables moments later with a machete, the local outlet reported.

Jasso attacked Hawk first when he intervened to protect Waters, but after an initial blow, the barber was able to gain access to Waters, allegedly cutting his nose and causing him to collapse to the ground.

Hawk intervened again and was hit multiple times, suffering deep cuts to his arms and ribcage, according to CBS 12.

The couple eventually managed to escape to a locked room in the barn, where Waters called 911.

When police arrived, Jasso had barricaded himself in his mobile home and admitted to police that he attacked his boss because she had insulted him, according to CBS 12.

Both Waters and Hawk were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.

The owner of the stable suffered serious injuries to her nose, as well as a fractured upper jaw and facial trauma.

Hawk suffered a metacarpal fracture in his wrist, cuts to his triceps and rib cage and received 17 stitches in his arm due to a deep laceration.

Neighbors credit Hawk with saving Waters’ life.

“His friend Joe, who was there, he said, basically saved his life,” Randy Halvorsrød told CBS 12. “He’s fine. He’s barking orders for the farm, so I guess he’s doing well.

‘It’s just horrible to us that someone in our community has had to endure this, the man who did it. I don’t know what to say.’
