Giroud makes history as France cruise past Poland

Olivier Giroud becomes France’s all-time top scorer with 52 goals as France beat Poland 3-1 in the World Cup round of 16.
A goal from Olivier Giroud and two from Kylian Mbappe at the Al Thumama Stadium on Sunday saw France beat Poland 3-1 to qualify for the World Cup quarterfinals in Qatar.
France dominated the match at the Al Thumama Stadium on Sunday, in which Giroud became France’s top scorer with 52 goals.
Poland’s star striker Robert Lewandowski scored a consolation goal from a penalty in stoppage time.
France will play the winner of Sunday night’s clash between England and Senegal in the quarter-finals.
