The San Francisco Giants are expected to promote Zack Minasianvice president of professional exploration of the team, to the general manager, USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reports.

Previously, Minasian spent 14 seasons in the Milwaukee Brewers’ front office, working as a special advisor on baseball operations and the team’s director of pro scouting.
