A woman in India was attacked by an elephant after it teased it with a banana.
A banana boldly lifted toward the creature’s mouth before retracting just as it opened its mouth to chomp.
The young woman could be seen grinning at the thigh python as it dangled the fruit in front of her, but he clearly saw through the ruse, swinging his torso and fangs, and thrusting it back into the air.
The female seemed angry that the woman was playing with him, attacking her and causing the person filming the video to cower in terror, dropping the camera.
Just before the attack, the woman’s voice could be heard saying, “How good is it?”
A video has surfaced online showing an unidentified Indian jungle woman caressing an elephant through some vegetation with a banana, before the elephant attacked her.
The young woman smiles dreamily at the pachyderm as it dangles from the fruit before her, but he sees clearly through the ruse, swings its trunk and fangs in an act of terrifying aggression, and thrusts it back into the air.
Footage of the incident was shared on social media by Susanta Nanda, an Indian Forest Service employee who often shares interesting wildlife content online.
He captioned the post: “You can’t fool an elephant even though it’s been tamed. It’s one of the smartest animals in captivity.
The video sparked numerous responses from users and many of them were concerned about the women’s health.
One user commented, “I hope you survived the attack.” Another user wrote, “She must have had several fractures.” A third user wrote, “Humans need to understand that wildlife is a wonderful and majestic soul and we need to respect their being.. not be arrogant with them and bring our human behavior into their aura @susantananda3.”
