These are the first photos of a well-known German family who were eradicated in a plane crash on Mallorca in which seven people died yesterday.

Businessman August Inselkammer Jr., his wife Christina and their two children Max, 11, and Sophie, nine, died immediately after the Bell 206 helicopter brought them to a luxury restaurant for a birthday lunch on a light plane.

The Italian pilot Cedric Leoni, who worked for a German company called Rotorflug at its base in Mallorca, also died in the collision.

The two Spaniards who travel in the ULM and have determined the death toll from the worst plane crash ever, were locally named as pilot Juan Jose Vidal and his friend Gustavo Serrano.

Mr. Inselkammer, from a well-known family of brewing entrepreneurs, was on his way to lunch with friends at a restaurant in Camp de Mar near Andratx when he died.

In a twist of fate, the vacation friends who had the dead family due to lunch and eventually going across the road after one of the two helicopters they booked turned out to be too small.

The helicopter operated by Mr. Leoni was sent to the luxury Hotel La Reserva Rotana Manacor, close to the house where the Inselkammer family was staying.

A well-placed insider said: & The dead man and his family were on vacation with another family and were staying near the hotel.

& # 39; They were known at the hotel from previous times they stayed.

& # 39; It was the dead man's 43rd birthday and the two families had provided two helicopters to pick them up, one for one family and one for the other.

& # 39; The other family eventually went by road because one of the helicopters had capacity for five and the other could only transport three, including the pilot.

& # 39; I understood that it was a last-minute decision that the man whose birthday it was had to take the larger helicopter with his family and the other family had to catch them in a car, probably because it was his birthday.

The tragedy is the second in recent years to hit the Inselkammer family, whose business interests include the Ayinger private brewery, now run by August's brother Franz Inselkammer III.

August cousin Jannik, co-owner of another Munich brewery, was killed in an avalanche at the age of 45 during a skiing holiday in Canada in March 2014.

An afternoon silence is held today at noon for the victims.
