Georgia Steel has revealed that her family and friends received ‘death threats’ after her time on Love Island All Stars.
The reality star, 25, appeared on the South African series last month, where she finished in fourth place with ex-boyfriend Toby Aromolaran.
Her time on the show was turbulent and after leaving the villa, she revealed that she had been subjected to “vile trolls” and “death threats”, forcing her to briefly quit social media.
On Sunday, Georgia spoke to Sky News about how online trolling affected her and claimed her friends and family had also been targeted.
“You don’t really know how to process that, if I’m honest you’re pretty scared, you don’t know if the whole world hates you,” she said.

‘My family and friends received death threats. My mom received messages: “How could you raise a girl like that?”
“Yeah, which is horrible, because really… I just want to make the people who support and love me proud.”
Georgia then questioned the trolls about their actions, asking them if they would dare say those things to a person’s face and if they had considered that their comments could be what would “drive someone over the edge.”
The influencer split from her Love Island boyfriend Toby earlier this month, less than a month after the couple reached the All Stars series final together.
It was revealed that Toby had been the one to end the relationship, which had “shocked” Georgia.
Weeks before, Georgia had taken a social media breakup following the backlash he received during his time in the ITV2 show.
She branded herself “Britain’s most hated woman” and admitted she was afraid to leave the house after her divisive time in the villa.
Georgia, who first hit screens in the show’s 2018 fifth series, caused a stir in the villa when she competed for the affections of eventual winner Tom Clare before reuniting with her ex-boyfriend Toby.

After her actions were exposed to her co-stars at the ‘PDA Awards’, a new version of the show’s always hectic Movie Night, Georgia revealed that her social media was flooded with trolling, mostly from women, making her that made her feel ‘hated’.
speaking to Sun, detailed: ‘I felt like the most hated woman in the country. I had no idea it would be so bad.
“I’m 25 years old and I wanted to meet the right person for me, and the only way to do that was to meet people.”
Georgia added that she was afraid to leave her house amid the backlash.
At the time of the trolling, an ITV spokesperson said at the time: “We always urge our viewers to be kind when engaging in social media conversations about our Islanders and to remember that they are real people with feelings.”
She later returned to social media in early March, before she and Toby split, to share a series of photos of the couple.
Revealing that she had been the subject of death threats, Georgia wrote: “I took some time off social media to decompress and process some of the comments I saw during my time on the show.
The Love Island All Stars couple, who finished fourth in the final, ended their whirlwind romance just a month since they left the villa together.

Speaking about the negative reactions, he said: ‘I don’t see the kids getting the hate that I got. Actually, it’s mainly women who have been trolling me and I wouldn’t have expected that. It’s all very confusing and difficult for me to understand.’
