Georgia Hooters waitress shows off over $500 in tips from a single afternoon shift

A Hooters waitress of Savannah, Georgia has shown the $521 she earned in tips during an afternoon shift at the chain restaurant — but some commentators have accused her of appearing “ungrateful” for the smaller tips.

Ali showed off her earnings on TikTok on January 7 in a video that has since garnered eight million views.

The young woman – who calls herself a model on Instagram and posts racy photos and videos on social media – checked how much she was earning at each table and reacted with great excitement to larger tips.

However, some commentators noted that she was less happy with smaller tips and accused her of being entitled.

But Ali insists: ‘YES, we are grateful to do our job too’ [butts] from!!’

“What we make in 4 hours at HOOTIEZZZ,” she captioned the video.

“Okay guys, we do what we make in a day at Hooters, and we just got our first few tables, so let’s show you that now,” she said.

Ali enlisted some of her colleagues to share the tips they had made while working a day shift at the restaurant.

“My first table got me $50, which was nice. It was a four-top,’ she told viewers.

“My second table, I got $11,” she continued, holding up the receipt.

“At my third table I got $20,” she continues, and seemed happier about the amount, “and then I got $10 from a very old couple. But what does it matter.’

She didn’t seem happy with the $10. She also didn’t say how much the couple spent, or what percentage of the bill was $10.

“My regular customer just came in and instead of giving me a tip to report, he gave me Venmoed.” Here she showed the $300 that the common man had sent to her Venmo account, and she looked very happy

The federal minimum wage for tipped workers in the US is just $2.13 per hour. That means if a server doesn’t tip for a full day shift of eight hours, they’ll only take home $17.04. Servers rely on tips to make up for the rest of their earnings.

Ali later continued: “My fifth table, I got a $100 bill from a single man.”

Smiling, she said, “My regular customer just came in and instead of giving me a tip to report, he gave me Venmoed.”

Here she showed the $300 that the regular customer had sent to her Venmo account, and she looked very happy.

Finally, she held up receipts with a $15 and $10 tip before discussing her last table.

“Okay, all of you, this one made me mad, but it’s whatever. They left me $10, wrote it on the bill, scribbled it out, and wrote five when I walked out,” she said with a blink of an eye. ‘Why?’

That $5 brought her total tip before the shift to $521.

Some of Ali's colleagues also shared their merits. One counted out $294 after working at a $12, then added $45 and $60 later

The video captivated viewers, but some were critical of Ali’s attitude toward lower tip tables.

“Not that you’re ungrateful for $5 or $10 dollars,” one said.

“Behaving like $11 is a bad tip,” another said, while a third wrote, “You roll your eyes at 10 when you’re literally doing nothing.”

“Imagine if that old couple didn’t tip much, but gave you 10 bucks thinking it was a big tip, and you come here to say, ‘What a tip,'” said another.

“It’s ungrateful giving,” wrote another.

Some are even jealous of how much she earns.

“First I caught myself judging, then I realized I’m just super jealous of you!” wrote one.

“Honestly, I’d go work for the tips at Hooters, it’s not that bad,” said another.
