The father of Colt Gray, who allegedly purchased the gun the 14-year-old used to shoot four people dead at his Georgia high school, has been arrested on charges of murder, manslaughter and child cruelty.

The 14-year-old was arrested Wednesday at Apalachee High School in Winder, minutes after authorities said he opened fire on students and teachers.

Now, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is charging Colin Gray, 54, with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder and eight counts of cruelty to children.

The family home was raided Wednesday afternoon and FBI investigators seized firearms and evidence.

Neighbors saw Colin return to the family home Wednesday night, though it is unclear whether he turned himself in to authorities.

This comes after sources claimed the father of three bought his 14-year-old son the assault rifle used in the shooting as a Christmas gift in 2023.

This came just months after the teen and his father were interviewed by local police in connection with online threats about carrying out a school shooting made on the gaming social media platform Discord, according to investigators.

This is a developing story.
