Recently released surveillance footage shows a Georgia father leaving his hotel before disappearing on a business trip more than a week ago.
Nathan Millard, 42, flew to Baton Rouge on Feb. 22 for what should have been a 24-hour business trip, his wife Amber said. But after a basketball game and drinks at a pub with his work client, Millard never returned to his hotel room a short walk away.
When Millard failed to show up to meet his client on the premises the next morning, he had the Courtyard Marriott managers search his room. Millard’s belongings were still there and his bed was made.
Surveillance footage has since shown someone using Millard’s debit card, his wife said. And on Wednesday, images shared by Texas EquuSearch showed Millard leaving the hotel with his work client the night he disappeared.
Millard’s wallet with a credit card in it was later found at the Greyhound bus station on Florida Boulevard, about four blocks from the hotel.
A new search will be conducted by Texas EquuSearch on Thursday afternoon.

Surveillance footage was released showing Millard leaving the hotel with his work client the night he disappeared. He can be seen on the right in the ball cap and black t-shirt

On the new surveillance video footage, Millard is pictured in hat, black T-shirt and jeans holding a phone as he walks out of the hotel. His client, Josh, is pictured next to him in the blue shirt, Millard’s wife said.
Investigators have begun interviewing people about Millard’s disappearance, but more details have not been released.
Millard, a father of four teenage boys and a seven-year-old daughter, was on a business trip to stake out a potential job for his Conyers-based company Advanced Construction, his wife Amber told 11Alive.
“My mind has been running non-stop, but I can’t let my mind torture me, and I just give it to God and pray, pray, pray, stay positive,” Amber said.
“He’s a loved man, a wonderful man and we need him, we want him to come home.”

Millard and his client went to Happy’s Irish Pub on 3rd Street, and then he left around 11:30 PM to go back to the hotel while his client stayed behind to close his account
Millard’s wife Amber told WSB TV that he went to an LSU basketball game before returning to the downtown Courtyard Marriott.
“Wednesday night,” she explained, “he was able to get tickets to college basketball. He and I Facetimed while he was there and that was at 7:30 Georgia time.’
Millard and his client Josh then went to Happy’s Irish Pub on 3rd Street, where they had a drink. He reportedly left the bar at around 11:30 pm to head back to the hotel, leaving his client behind to close his bill.
Kristen Harvey, a search coordinator for Texas EquuSearch, a nonprofit volunteer organization helping with Millard’s case, told 11Alive they had new details revealing a clearer timeline of what happened that night.
She said he took a Lyft from the game to the downtown bar where he was last seen.
The Lyft app shows he was dropped off at Happy’s (Irish) Pub around 9:30am, then the customer told us he left at about 11:30am and then no one has seen him since – it’s literally about a two minute walk Harvey said.
“His phone was found about four blocks away, maybe, from the hotel. His wallet was found then, his ID was gone, the debit card was gone.”

“The customer says they had a beer there, ate something, and went back to the hotel at 11:30,” Harvey said. “(His wife) said when she woke up and there was no text from him, you know a happy family man… just a heartbreaking situation, someone at that time of night and where it was – someone saw something, and that’s what we hope.
“After he left Happy’s, money was withdrawn from an ATM near where the phone was found,” Harvey said.
She confirmed that authorities have surveillance video of the person withdrawing money from his debit card at the ATM near a Greyhound bus station.
Another cash withdrawal was made at another ATM nearby and “several smaller charges” at a Chevron in the one-by-four block radius, Harvey said, adding that all happened between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m.

“You know, every day that goes by decreases the chance that you’ll have a positive result, but we’ve seen some insanely amazing miracles happen, so that’s what we’re holding onto for now — we’re hoping for that miracle for him,” Harvey said.
