Georgia remained resolutely on the defensive, often having every fielder behind the ball to thwart Spain’s offensive efforts.
Their goal came against the turn of events after Spain looked totally dominant in the first half, only for Kvaratskhelia to sneak out and snatch a neat finish to the left of the box just minutes before half time.
Spain came out with the same game plan in the second half and eventually found its way through the Georgian defense when Torres scored from the box.
Spain looked on track for another shockingly bad result, having drawn 1-1 against Greece on Thursday when Olmo showed up in the 92nd minute to take the win.
