George Kittle left no doubt about how much he enjoyed the Rhode Island wedding of teammate Christian McCaffrey and model Olivia Culpo.
Culpo and McCaffrey exchanged vows at Watch Hill Chapel on June 29 before a lavish reception at the Ocean House resort.
Speaking to San Francisco media, the 49ers tight end raved about his first time in the Ocean State and praised the “beautiful wedding.”
“I’ve never been to Rhode Island, I don’t know anyone from Rhode Island except Olivia and her family, so it was great to meet other people from Rhode Island,” Kittle told reporters.
She also talked about having been present at a high-profile wedding with Culpo’s notoriety. However, Kittle enjoyed the wedding so much that she suggested the McCaffreys should host another one for fun.

“It was kind of wild, too, because she’s so famous,” Kittle said. “So, to have the amount of police that were around and security and stuff, and people from Rhode Island just standing there on the corners with photographers and paparazzi, it was a wild experience for me.
‘But overall it was a beautiful wedding, everyone there is amazing, so much fun, I hope they do another one just for fun and invite me again.’
Kittle attended the wedding with his wife Claire. Also in attendance were 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, his wife Kristin, head coach Kyle Shanahan and quarterback Brock Purdy, who also got married this offseason.
“Even with so many people in the room, it felt like it was just Christian and I,” Culpo told Vogue of the ceremony, during which McCaffrey said “I do” within the first minute.
McCaffrey and Culpo tied the knot in June after four years of dating and one year of engagement.
Kittle attended the “wild” wedding with his wife Claire, several 49ers teammates and staff.
Kyle Juszczyk, his wife Kristin, head coach Kyle Shanahan and Brock Purdy were in attendance.
“The priest told him we weren’t there yet and our family and friends had a good laugh at his enthusiasm. As a bride, there’s no better feeling than when your husband can’t wait another second to marry you.”
The couple dated for nearly four years before McCaffrey proposed in April 2023.
After a healthy offseason for the team, the 49ers are back in training camp looking for redemption following their 25-22 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in February’s Super Bowl.
San Francisco will open its season at home against the New York Jets on September 9.
