George Goulburn made a very unusual change to his work life a year ago: he moved from the world of renewable energy to something with more immediate results.

Mr Goulburn calls himself “a mature and professional companion for women”.

Another way to put it is that he now works as a heterosexual male escort, with clients ranging in age from “very attractive women in their 30s to an 80-year-old man with a very high sex drive.”

‘When I got fired from my last full-time job“I was thinking, well, what do I do now?” the 52-year-old told Daily Mail Australia.

“I’ve seen very little positive change in the climate change space in 30 years, so I thought, look, now is the time to do something different.”

He always enjoyed sex, loved women and had gone on thousands of dates in the decade before he decided to make the “natural progression” into escort work.

A man who previously worked as a male escort and wrote a book about it put Mr Goulburn in touch with his first client.

‘Offers training for men over 40 looking to enter the industry,’o I sent him a message.

“We had a video call the next day and he told me: ‘Look, you have more experience and are more prepared for this than me.'”

Mr. Goulburn then decided to have professional photographs taken, set up a website and a instagram pageand put a price on the service you provide.

That price ranges from $1,200 for a two-hour “intimate date,” $2,500 for a four-hour encounter with a couple, and $5,000 for a 12-hour night.

“When people pay a lot of money, you have to offer excellent service,” he said, pointing to customer testimonials on his website.

“Honestly, George has the ability to make you feel like the most beautiful and special woman in the world, and that’s just with his smile and his eyes,” one woman wrote.

She said receiving that kind of positive feedback is “just wonderful, the impact I have on these women.”

The youngest of his current clients is a “very attractive” woman in her 30s and the oldest is an 80-year-old person with “a very high sexual desire.”

‘She is a wonderful woman. “And we have a lovely connection and (women’s) needs are different.”

Some of her clients are women who “aren’t getting the sexual satisfaction they want” in their relationships, or who are tired of the grind of dating apps.

Others long for the intimacy that has long been absent from their lives, and some are disabled people: she has taken a course on how to care for disabled people.

The women she sees “are really in tune with an almost holistic view on sex and intimacy, and it goes way beyond just having sex and orgasming, which is that orgasm is not the point.”

‘They tell me it’s just the person I am and that I listen and are seen and heard. (For some) it might be a different type of sexual experience (what they’re looking for).’

He said some of the women he sees “don’t really want sex… Or at least not at first, because they just want company.”

‘And if that then turns into something sexual, fantastic. But it is not necessary.

“I see their confidence blossom before my eyes, simply by virtue of having someone to listen to them and make them feel like a woman again.”

The fact that he is 52 years old and does not have a muscular bodybuilder’s build is not a problem for his clients or for him.

‘I have a couple of university degrees. “I make women feel comfortable,” she said.

“There are younger guys who might be in their 20s or 30s, and nothing against them in any way… They have a six pack and have taken off their shirts. (But that is not the way I present myself.

To grow her network and client base, she has recently contacted sex therapists across Australia to introduce herself, “because I thought therapists can only go so far in what they can offer people.”

‘I told him, look, I’m a professional and I know you are too. In fact, I can provide the service in addition to (sex therapy),’ he said.

Goulburn never thought about changing his mind about his job, but he had a particularly bad experience.

‘The more clients I have, the happier I am with the decisions I have made, but there was one experience with a woman where I told her no, I was not going to see her again.

“She didn’t appreciate the value of what I do and I was just trying to downplay it and it made her feel bad that she had to be with me.”

“And that’s a sad story for her, but she was trying to convince me to lower the price and I said, ‘Look, this is my job, I’m 52 years old. I’ve spent decades developing the skills for this.’

“So if you don’t appreciate it, then you know, I’m sorry, I don’t want to see you again.”

He said he realizes the prices he charges are high, but “there’s not a lot of competition in the male escort business, especially at my age.”

‘While (with) sex workers, It’s a sad fact that they just don’t get paid as much because of supply and demand.’

Mr Goulburn’s mother, who is younger than his older client, and his son and brothers know what he does and are okay with it.

‘My mom said, ‘I’m never surprised by what you do,’ and (the others) recognize that it’s no big deal.

“My adult son knows sex workers, so he’s like, ‘Yeah, great, Dad.'”

Over the years, and not just in her business, she has discovered that “many women want men to make some decisions for them.”

‘That’s especially if they are single mothers. They’re working on a career, and if they’re going out, they’re like, ‘For God’s sake, can this guy just make a decision so I don’t have to?’

‘I might say, ‘Okay, let’s go out to dinner at this place.’ And would you be okay if I placed an order for you?”

“And they say, ‘Oh, God, yes.'” So when women come to me for suggestions, I gladly give them them.

‘And that’s the beauty of making this stuff.’

He knows he’s not the most attractive male escort on the scene, but he says that “I can see beauty in almost all women… That is regardless of body shape. It’s really personality.’

‘I love the intellectual connection and the feeling of fun. I’m sure thatWe all have preferences when it comes to what we find attractive, but… a very attractive woman can also be a pretty unpleasant person…

“I don’t care what the body is like and I think it’s particularly beautiful because many women, including women who are traditionally very attractive, have problems with their bodies and their appearance, especially as they get older.

“For me to genuinely see this beauty in them is real. I cannot (and) do not act. “They feel safer.”

She said some women have told her on subsequent dates that their friends have said, ‘What’s wrong with you? You look different’.

Mr Goulburn is not yet working full-time as a companion and still does some consultancy work in the areas of environment and climate change.

But her escort work has caused difficulties when she becomes known to employers in the corporate world.

“I was also fired two months ago from the place where I worked when they discovered I was a male escort, so there is still a lot of discrimination and stigma,” he said.

But that hasn’t discouraged him. “I see the positive impact of the work I do.”
