George Clooney and his wife Amal are reported to be saving £ 6.8m (€ 7.9m) on a sprawling 425-acre estate in the south of France.
The couple is believed to be about to purchase the property in Brignoles in the Var, known as Domaine de Canadel, which features a swimming pool, tennis court and 10-hectare vineyard.
The beautiful historic home is also thought to be just steps away from George’s fellow Hollywood star and Oceans’ co-star Brad Pitt’s Château Miraval in Correns, meaning the friends would be neighbors in Europe.

The 18th-century main building sits on 172 hectares (425 acres) and is believed to be spread over three floors to provide ample space and was renovated in the 1990s by architect Bruno Lafourcade, reports Soil.
Pictures show the spacious building covered in scenic vines and with blue shutters on the large windows, as well as ample parking for guests trying to soak up the sun with the Clooneys.
The beautiful mansion is also surrounded by immaculately landscaped gardens, as well as a smaller caretaker’s house and its own olive grove.
While the interior of the home offers many spacious rooms in which to relax, including a large sitting area complete with a built-in bookcase and several sofas, as well as several bedrooms and a good-sized kitchen.

The Clooneys would also have plenty of space to entertain while enjoying the expansive views, as the picturesque home boasts ample outdoor seating spread around the grounds.
The mayor of Brignoles Didier Brémond seemed to confirm that the Clooneys took up residence when he recently addressed the chatter in the French press.
He told France blue: ‘George Clooney came mainly to seek peace and not necessarily a large wine estate. He bought this property to come to rest. ‘
George and Amal are thought to be buying the spacious estate from an Australian couple.
However, there are reports in the French press that the estate has already been sold to a local investor for six million euros – although no contracts have been signed, reports Was Martin.

It comes after George said he was “not happy” to turn 60. The Midnight Sky actor is celebrating the milestone birthday on May 6, and while he’s not happy with his advancing years, he joked it could be worse.
George and his wife Amal, 43, have three-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, and the couple is already teaching the toddlers to be charitable.
Speak against Entertainment tonight, he said, ‘Well, try it [to instill charitable values]. They’re not four yet, so they don’t [understand]. My kids will always say they pick up toys and say, “This is for the poor people.”

The Gravity star is a director of the Motion Picture & Television Fund, which was founded in 1921 and provides care and assistance to those in the industry and their families with limited resources by assisting with financial aid, case management and even residential living in the Wasserman Campus in Los Angeles.
He said, ‘I’ve brought it [Amal] to an event there. This is not necessarily the best time as we are still dealing with the pandemic.

‘But if you go to that campus and walk around – I shot scenes from a TV series there – and we sat down at a table and there’s someone from My Fair Lady and he started singing I’m Getting Married in the Morning and it was just [amazing]. Everything about it is warm and funny.
“It’s like being around people you would absolutely love to have,” he noted.
He also said he thought that had a big effect on Amal, because it was a joyous place back then.
So for us it’s just a matter of where we want to spend our time and money and understand that, in my profession, I’ve been very lucky and I know it … and happiness needs to be shared.
