George and Amal Clooney are not expecting their third child, their rep has confirmed.
The 60-year-old actor and 43-year-old human rights lawyer welcomed twins Ella and Alexander four years ago after they married in a lavish ceremony in Venice in 2014.
Insiders previously claimed the happy couple had already told their close friends that they were expanding their family when they hosted a small dinner party near their Italian villa on July 4.
But speak with just shocked on Friday, their rep stopped any speculation, saying, “Stories that Amal Clooney is pregnant are not true.”
Family: The representative of George and Amal Clooney has said in a statement that the couple are not expecting their third child together after the lawyer was reported on Friday (the couple is pictured July 20 in Lake Como, Italy)
The couple were spotted with friends on July 20, where Amal was wearing a form-fitting white dress.
Sparking speculation the Clooneys would add another baby to their brood, a source had told OK! US: ‘Amal would have passed her first trimester. She’s already starting to show, so soon enough everyone will know.’
Representatives of George and Amal have been contacted by MailOnline.
Last month, it was reported that George had whizzed his wife and their children to Lake Como for the twins’ fourth birthday.
A source told E! News at the time that the family “hasn’t been there for two years” but will spend the summer in their parental home, Villa Oleandra.
They added: “They brought their giant Saint Bernard puppy Rosie. They will spend as much of the summer as possible in Lake Como.’

In March, George spoke about how life changed when he became a father.
He said: “I don’t think at the end of the day anyone will ever say ‘God, I wish we’d made two more interesting movies’ instead of ‘God, I’m really happy to spend this time with my kids or I did this with my children.’
In December, he gave a rarity to fatherhood when he spoke to AARP The Magazine about naming their twins and being a famous parent.
He said, ‘I didn’t want weird names for our kids. They will have enough problems already. It’s hard to be the son of someone famous and successful…

Out and about: She looked impossibly glamorous before the trip
“Bing Crosby killed two sons. I have an advantage because I’m so much older that by the time my son feels competitive, I’m literally gumming bread.”
He later spoke to CBS This Morning about how Amal and the kids changed his life.
George said, “There is no doubt that having Amal in my life has changed everything for me. It was the first time that everything she did and everything about her was infinitely more important than anything about me…
We never talked about having children and one day we said, ‘What do you think?’ And then we go to the doctor and you do the ultrasound and they say, ‘You have a boy!’ and I was like, ‘Baby boy, fantastic!’…

“And they go, ‘And you’ve got another one.” I was for one. Again, I am old. Suddenly it’s two. It’s hard not to make me talk, and I just stood there for 10 minutes staring at this piece of paper and saying, ‘What? Two?’
He was later asked why he “waited so long” to become a father.
George said, “I’ve found the right person to have them with,” he said. “There are people, their goal was: ‘I have to have children.’ Mine wasn’t…
“I didn’t look at life and said, ‘My life will be unfulfilled without children.’ I felt like I had quite a full life. Then I met Amal and realized that my life had been pretty empty.
“And then we throw these two kids in and all of a sudden you realize how incredibly empty it was and, you know, it fills it all up. It makes it fun.’
He continued: ‘[Fatherhood] gives a sense of belonging, and a sense of home and unconditional love, all the things you hoped to get from a really good career and a dog. You realize that this is much more than that’.
