Huge puffer coats have been a Gen Z staple for the past few years, with many young people saying the jacket is their only “personality trait.”
If you find yourself walking down any British high street during winter, it’s not unusual to see an army of Generation Z approaching, all dressed in exactly the same coat.
But now this beloved staple finally seems to be going out of style, with young people saying they are “growing up” and opting for wool coats.
On TikTok, some members of Generation Z have announced that they no longer like their North Face coats, believing that they ruin their fashionable appearance.
However, they were soon accused of “regressing” in maturity by discarding the expensive item and preferring trends over functionality.
In a TikTok video that has racked up a whopping one million views, Reina @reinadombrovska555 from Ireland said: ‘I liked my North Face jacket and now I feel like it ruins all my outfits, is my frontal lobe developing?’ ‘
She added: “Maybe it’s also because it’s literally a men’s size M or BC, I need to clean it up lol.”

People soon took to the comments to agree that they no longer liked their North Faces, but others were more skeptical.

But others criticized Gen Z for preferring trends over practicality, writing: “North Face isn’t made for fashion, it’s made to keep you warm in the most brutally cold weather lol”;

‘Their oversized silhouette and bold branding made them a Gen Z favorite, pairing perfectly with casual, relaxed looks.
