Johnny Wactor, a veteran of the soap opera General Hospital, was shot and killed Saturday in Los Angeles when he confronted robbers who broke into his car, according to TMZ. He was 37 years old.
Wactor’s mother, Scarlett, told TMZ that her son saw three men trying to steal the catalytic converter from his car.
She said her son didn’t try to fight them or even stop them from robbing Wactor, but they still shot him and escaped.
Police said paramedics arrived at the scene around 3 p.m. local time and took him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The suspects have not yet been identified or described, but there is an incident matching the description of the murder involving the theft of a catalytic converter.
