Gemma Owen discussed the heartbreaking loss of her beloved horse Sirius in a candid conversation on Wednesday.
The dressage competitor, 19, said she would “never get over it” in a YouTube video just days after the beauty queen died tragically in her family’s stables.
On Tuesday, paramedics were unable to revive Jessica Whalley, 25, after she collapsed at Manor House Stables near Malpas in Cheshire, where she worked as a transport manager.
Speaking in the clip, Gemma talked to her fans about her life and how she was feeling after her “challenging few months.”
The Love Island star began: “The past month or two have been challenging – we’ve clearly lost my competition horse Sirius.”

She continued, “After that, I’m not going to lie, I really struggled.” Just kind of getting over losing it.
It all happened so quickly, it was so traumatic then it was just kind of in my life and routine that it just kind of left it.
You know, I don’t have a few different competition horses – he’s been my only horse for the past five years, and I’ve had a good relationship with him.
It took a toll on everything, it took a huge blow to my confidence and kind of how I felt in general. I felt vulnerable, which is obviously to be expected after the loss of an animal. It just hit me right.
I’m in a better place now, I won’t say I’m over it because I don’t think I’ll ever get over it properly.
It all happened so quickly, I didn’t have time to process it properly and couldn’t anticipate it. It was overnight.
I’m fine, I’m fine and I’m doing myself a lot better. So this is how I deal with it, feel so much better and keep busy.
“You kind of feel guilty, we have Faye now—the new horse that I’ve rented until the end of the year.”

“But I wanted something to do,” Gemma concluded, “not to fill that void and to be replaced because it will never be replaced.” But I just needed the horses and it was kind of my safe space
Last month, after the death of her horse, she explained: ‘On Friday, we lost my horse of a lifetime due to a sudden and severe illness. Words cannot describe how much this horse means to me and my family.
He was truly one in a million every person who met Siz would know how amazing and caring his mood was. It was taken so soon, it left us all heartbroken and in complete shock.
You have taught me so much and I will never be able to thank you enough, you have brought so much joy and happiness to our lives and you will never be replaced. I love you endlessly.
Gemma’s update came after a beauty queen died at Michael Owen’s stables after falling from her horse, her grieving family claimed today.
Paramedics were unable to revive Jessica Whaley, 25, after she collapsed at Manor House Stables near Malpas in Cheshire, where she worked as a transport manager.
Speaking to MailOnline on Wednesday, a female relative said she understood Miss Wally “passed out before falling” from a horse. She added: What should I say? It’s a terrible shock.
Miss Wally’s friend Alison Samuel claimed the beauty queen died a few days before her 26th birthday this Saturday, and also said she died after falling from her horse.
However sources in the stable denied this, insisting it would be “too early” to say so – calling it an “accident” rather than an “accident”.
It comes as the Department of Health and Safety confirmed today that it will not investigate the tragedy because the sudden death was not thought to be ‘work related’.
said Mrs. Samuel, who used to work with Miss Wally in the stables at Newmarket in Suffolk the sun: “I couldn’t believe it—we loved her so much.”
She was a lovely girl who really enjoyed her job. She was popular – everyone loved her and she was such a beautiful young woman. This was very unexpected, she was very fit and healthy.
And also beautiful – she could have been a model. It’s a tragedy – it was her 26th birthday on Saturday. We’re told she was very abrupt and fell off her horse – so it was a terrible shock.

The stables declined to comment further when contacted by MailOnline about the allegations regarding the horse.
A health and safety executive spokesperson said: “While we are aware of this incident, we are not currently investigating the circumstances as we do not believe it was a work-related death.”
It was said that Owen and his staff were in tears after Miss Wally’s death.
A spokesperson for Her Majesty’s Coroner’s Office in Cheshire confirmed to MailOnline this morning that the death was referred to their office yesterday, but no decision has been taken on the inquest yet and the case is still ‘in its very early stages’.
