She wrote: ‘I’m so excited about my next home project with @consilium_hortus, combining my love of garden design with a swimming pool for mum with arthritis and osteoarthritis. I am creating a beautiful hydraulic pool and area for mom to recover.
“I need my mom to get stronger and walk again. She is still very young and my dream would be to see her well.”
‘I’m going to put this in the house to give my mother a chance at a better life and health and so she can walk again.
“I really love nature and my plants, so I didn’t want a flashy, flashy pool, I just wanted it to be one with nature.”
Gemma also asked her followers for advice and occupational therapist recommendations to help with her mother’s knee.
She explained that arthritis has caused the protective cartilage in her bones to break down causing pain, but Joan is afraid of having an operation to fix it.
She said: ‘I am also looking into OTS to get my mother walking again and any breakthrough drugs or non-evasive operations to fix my mother’s knees as she is bone on bone but too scared to have knee operations. Please get in touch.’
It comes just days after Gemma revealed Joan had to be rushed to hospital and is in intensive care after having to be resuscitated.

In a video on her Instagram Stories, Gemma, who has spoken openly about her mother’s health problems in the past, explained: “My mother is very ill at the moment, she is in intensive care.
“It’s been an incredible time and you know, I’m very happy, and well, not so happy, because my mother is in intensive care, but she’s recovering, thank God.”
Gemma later wrote: ‘Last week I had the shock of my life when my mother stopped breathing. I called an ambulance and they told me to prepare for the worst and that I would like to resuscitate her (sic).’
She then assured worried fans that Joan is now “stable” and will “hopefully” be much better soon.

In March 2023, Gemma revealed she was undergoing life-saving genetic testing after Joan was diagnosed with breast cancer.
The Diva Forever star was left shocked after learning her mother Joan found a cancerous lump between her breast and armpit.
Gemma, who also lost a family member to cancer, spoke to her doctor about having a BRCA gene test, which analyzes your DNA to see if you have inherited a faulty gene, meaning you can be more susceptible to cancer.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star told The Sun she burst into tears the moment her mother told her over the phone that she had had cancer.
She explained: ‘It was over the phone. I was in the back of a taxi in London and I thought: ‘Are you okay, Mum? Where are you?’ — as we say every day, ten times a day.
“She was like, ‘Oh, I didn’t want to tell you, but I have a lump on my breast.’ I was like, ‘What?’, and she was like, ‘But it’s okay, I’m okay.’ I was like, ‘ Oh my God.’ Why didn’t you tell me?
Gemma said Joan decided not to tell her daughter about her diagnosis while she was filming Diva Forever at the time.

She explained: “She knew I would have broken down at the worst, so she kept it to herself because she didn’t want to upset me, but she was so scared.”
Gemma added that her mother found the lump on the right side of her breast and luckily doctors caught it “at the last moment.”
He praised the NHS for their quick action and said they removed the lump immediately.
Joan was diagnosed in 2016 with ductal carcinoma in situ, which means the cells in the lining of the breast tissue become cancerous, and now attends screening every year.
The cancer cells are contained within the milk ducts and have not spread to surrounding breast tissue.
Hereditary breast cancer is most often caused by an inherited mutation in the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene.
If a woman has inherited a mutated copy of these genes from either of her parents, she has an increased risk of developing breast cancer, with up to a 70 percent chance of contracting the disease by age 80.
