Foodies across Sydney are salivating after Gelato Messina announced it would expand its delivery zones before lockdown.

In the first phase of the expansion, 13 suburbs on the lower north coast will have access to supplies from the company for the first time.

Initially, customers will only be able to order the Andy Bowdy Messina cookie cakes, which initially come with a cookie cake and a one-liter container.

There will also be a limit of 30 customers per day to start deliveries that are only available on a specific day.

But if all goes well, the ice cream giant will look to expand the program to include more suburbs and a wider range.

“If you’d like to say something about where we’re going in Sydney, comment in your suburb and those with the most likes will be highly considered.” the company said in a statement.

And its announcement proved to be very popular among ice cream enthusiasts, with some begging the higher north coast to be considered in a future rollout.

Other customers in Sydney already have access to deliveries via the Deliveroo network.

These include customers in the eastern suburbs, the CBD, inner-west, Penrith and Paramatta, as well as Miranda on the central coast.

The customers with access to Gelato Messina through Deliveroo can order any of the company’s pies and tubs, but the minimum spend is $10.
