Aussie City is rocked by sickening hate crimes against a gay man who was viciously beaten by two thugs: ‘They screamed to kick him in the head’

A gay man claims he was the victim of a brutal homophobic attack in the heart of a Perth nightlife district that left him with a broken nose.
Adrian Lea, 37, says he and his friends were walking from an event to Connections Night Club in Northbridge around noon on Sunday morning when two men approached.
Mr Lea said he had a brief conversation with one of them while they were standing outside the Perth Cultural Centre.
The stranger asked if Mr. Lea was gay and he replied yes.
Then the man called his friend to start a vicious attack.

“They both jumped on me and started punching me in the face,” Mr Lea told Channel Nine.
Then I lay on the floor. When I stood up, blood literally ran out of my nose.’
“It totally blindsided me, I was just in a daze and I was like ‘what the hell is going on?’
“They were yelling to ‘kick him in the head’.”
Mr Lea said another male friend was also attacked.
The attackers only gave up when Mr. Lea’s girlfriend “stepped in and stopped it.”
This caused the two men to flee.
Even with a broken nose, Mr. Lea felt as if he had come off lightly.
Mr Lea said he was ‘blindsided’ by the unprovoked attack that saw the two men jump on him
“I could have ended much worse than it was,” he said.
“It could have been that I wasn’t here, you never know.”
The WA police are looking for the men.
They review CCTV footage taken near the attack in hopes of identifying the pair.
