When she landed at the destination, Joanna shared a selfie with her 126,000 Instagram followers – tagging the ITV show and writing, ‘Hello Malta @thismorning #sunsout’.
It is believed that this trip would allow her to visit the set of the 2004 war film Troy, which was filmed on the Mediterranean island.
Speak with The mirror of the new venture, Joanna explained, “I’m exploring some of the best filming locations in Europe.”
Continuing the impact of TV and film in lesser-known areas, she said, “Apparently nearly half of us would consider visiting a destination after seeing it in a show or movie.”
The perfect person to prove this point, the star’s 2007 series Gavin and Stacey put the Welsh town of Barry on the map – as her character came from the location.
While a source told the publication, “Joanna is a huge fan of This Morning, she’s been a viewer for many years, and she’s extremely excited to be a small part of the on-screen family for this mini-series. “
Joanna is heading to the daytime TV show following the return of presenters Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield this month after four weeks away from the show.
Holly was more likely to welcome Phillip to the ITV daytime show, having taken time off during his brother Tim’s sexual assault trial.
But she suffered a bout of shingles, delaying their reunion until Monday, April 24.
On their comeback episode, Holly assured viewers that she was back to full health, saying, “I’m much better.” I had a wobbly week and a half. It’s no fun for anyone who’s had shingles. But I am fully recovered and back. Nice to see you!’
While the gig comes for Joanna as she returns to her career for the first time in 10 years, making an acting comeback, as well as the daytime gig.

Before returning, she will star in Russell T Davies’ upcoming BBC drama Men Up, about the first Viagra trials.
Previously admitting that you “can’t have it all,” the star has focused on family life in recent years and welcomed her fourth child, Boe Willow Russell, in December 2021.
She also shares older children Eva, 10, Kit, seven, Noah, six, with husband James Thornton.
Speaking about her family dynamic earlier this year, the actress said she “would love a fifth baby,” but feels it wouldn’t be fair to her current brood.
She told Woman & Home, “When I had my third, my obstetrician asked me about birth control plans and I said, ‘I’m having a baby, I probably won’t have sex forever,'” she told the publication.
“After Boe, the same midwife asked again and I’m pretty impulsive, so I said, ‘Okay, you can cut my fallopian tubes.’ Then, last month, as soon as I got my first period, I thought, “What a shame! I want another baby. I want another little one.”
In tubal ligation, the fallopian tubes are cut, tied, or blocked to permanently prevent pregnancy.
