Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher mocked Boris Johnson after it emerged the Prime Minister attended at least one party at No10 while Britain was locked in 2020.
A total of 13 parties have been announced in recent months, most of which were held in Downing Street. They were reportedly held at a time when socializing indoors was prohibited and Johnson was present with some.
The scandal has engulfed Johnson and the Conservative Party, forcing the Prime Minister to issue an unprecedented apology to the Queen for the events, some of which took place on the eve of Prince Philip’s funeral.

Ahead of Brighton’s game against Crystal Palace on Friday night, both Neville and Carragher jumped at the chance to put the shoe in Johnson.
“It’s an odd rivalry, but to be honest, we get these football games on Friday night, we were at the Brentford for the last time, it was absolutely fantastic,” Neville joked.
“We always seem to just have a big party.”
Carragher’s response was similarly directed.
Jamie Carragher also booted the Prime Minister for attending parties in lockdown
“Let’s face it tonight, although this isn’t a party, this is about work,” he said, referring to Johnson’s admission that he did attend a party, but only because he thought it was a work event.
“If you talk to Graham Potter, Patrick Vieira, who has 22 players on the pitch, they need to know the difference between work and a party and if they get that wrong and think they’re in party mode they’ll be in big, big trouble.” .’
Dave Jones, host of Neville and Friday Night Football, struggled to keep a straight face after Carragher’s comments, with Jones joking that it “feels like a political broadcast.”
The comment was quickly followed by Neville who joked that “Sue Gray will decide that,” referring to the official charged with investigating the allegations.
The political cameo ended with Carragher’s conclusion, “We’re looking at you, Prime Minister.”
During the Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday, Johnson apologized for attending the party.
Johnson had to apologize to the Queen on Friday for attending the events
“I want to apologize,” he said.
“I know that millions of people in this country have made extraordinary sacrifices over the past 18 months.
“When I went to that yard just after 6:00 on May 20, 2020 to thank groups of employees before returning to my office 25 minutes later to continue working, I implicitly believed that this was a work event.
“In retrospect, I should have sent everyone back inside. I should have found another way to thank them.’
