It’s been a little over four years since Match of the Day viewers were treated to seeing Gary Lineker present the show in nothing but his underwear, but could it happen again next year?

In 2015, the former Leicester striker claimed he would present MOTD ‘in his underwear’ if Leicester won the competition.

Contrary to expectations, the Foxes did just that six months later, and Lineker kept his promise.

And now Lineker has hinted that he might have to do it again, while his beloved team are looking good.

So Leicester is the best in the league. I better wash my pants, ”he joked as he signed off for Sunday’s Match of the Day program.

Leicester are in good shape as they are the best in the league, but we have to admit we are only two games left in the season.

They took a 3-0 victory over newly promoted West Bromwich Albion on the first day of the season.

Then they followed that up on Sunday with a 4-2 win over Burnley, coming from a backlog at King Power Stadium.

With the current power of Manchester City and Liverpool it seems unlikely that Leicester will be able to repeat their feat this season, but the odds were also serious against them in the 2015-16 season.

They will then face City in the league in what will be their toughest game this early part of the season. They will also play a revived Arsenal in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
