Gareth Bale has expressed his disappointment when Wales fell to a late defeat against Iran.
Rob Page’s side went into the Group B match needing a result to ensure their hopes of progressing beyond the group stage did not hinge on a win over England on Tuesday.
But goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey’s red card in the 86th minute left Page’s side facing an uphill battle, and Iran used their advantage to score twice in stoppage time.
Speaking after the game, the former Real Madrid star couldn’t hide his disappointment.
