Schools in Garden City, Kansas, are on lockdown as police respond to an active incident at the local community college.
It remains unclear what type of threat there is and whether any suspects are at large.
Police have yet to confirm whether there is an active shooter on campus, but parents of some students tell DailyMail.com they have been ordered to remain in their dorms.

“There is a large first responder presence at Garden City Community College. According to GCCC: If you are not on campus, do not come at this time.
“We will provide updates as they become available,” police said in a tweet Wednesday morning.
The school district said, “Due to a community emergency, all schools are closed.
‘No one is allowed in or out of the buildings, but lessons continue inside as usual.’
