Game of Thrones fans reveal details in new season eight credits

Game of Thrones fans were surprised by new opening credits when the eighth series was broadcast on Sunday evening – and fans pointed out the most intricate details.

The new addition, which still characterized the iconic theme of the show, showed the map of Westeros much more detailed than in previous seasons.

It also seemed to represent symbolically critical events from the past seven seasons of the fantasy drama, including the red wedding and the birth of the dragons of Daenerys Targaryen.

The long opening speeches have taken viewers over the map of Westeros since the first season of the show.

But, unlike earlier versions, the eight credits of the season begin beyond the wall – which has blown a huge hole through its left side.

The credits then travel to the new location Last Hearth – this is the ancestral house of House Umber – while the tiles on the map turn blue underground.

She then zoom over the map to Winterfell – instead of the usual Kings Landing – which proudly displays the gray-black direwolf badges on the roof.

Viewers are then taken on an in-depth tour of the ancestral seat of House Stark and via King's Landing before the credits end with the Game of Thrones logo.

But some fans with eagle eyes have pointed out that symbols that appear on the screen in the credits may indicate critical events from previous seasons.

At the beginning, the credits show the symbol of a dragon breathing the fire on the ground – which might represent a moment in the seventh season when the Night King burns down the Wall with his own dragon.

A second set of symbols, a lion and a man holding a wolf's head, may represent the red wedding, fans have said.

The birth of Daenerys & # 39; dragons and the red comet of season two can also be seen in the last set of symbols – four dragons and a comet.

Posting time stamps to the video on YouTube, a user said: & # 39; The Red Wedding. The Lannisters betrayed the Tullys and the Bolton betrayed the Starks. It all happens under the two towers of house Frey.
