Galilea Montijo announces her separation after 11 years of marriage

MEXICO — The Mexican host and actress Galilea Montijo, who is one of the headlines of the “Hoy” program, announced that after 11 years of marriage she is separating from her boyfriend, the politician Fernando Reina, and clarified that they stayed on good terms for the good of his son.

Through a press release, the model also asked for respect for the moment they are now going through, but she wanted to make it known to end the speculation that circulated days ago about her possible love break.

“From the respect and affection that have always characterized our relationship, we want to share that after 11 years of marriage, a few weeks ago we needed to separate and we have already carried out civil actions,” said the host in the first part of her text.

“The complicated stage that, like so many couples, we experienced during the Covid 19 pandemic, caused disagreements between us. After conscientious reflection and with deep respect for both parties, we have agreed and filed a voluntary divorce by mutual agreement,” the document continued.

He indicated that they will always be a family and they will see for the good of their only son, whom they say, they will try to raise together but with separate paths.
