Gal Gadot spent a month preparing for her snow White hearing.
He Wonder Woman The actress will play the Evil Queen in the upcoming live-action remake of Disney’s first princess. She stars opposite Rachel Zegler’s Snow White.
“It was the first time I had to audition for a project in a long time,” Gadot said in a G.Q. video. “They needed to make sure that I can sing because this is a musical. So for a month, I was working on the song, then I auditioned, we filmed the song, I got the part, and it was very exciting.”
He continued, “It was a lot to shoot because it’s so different from anything I’ve done. It’s so delicious and charming, and it could really go big and theatrical.”
In an interview with Peoplehe Heart of stone The star shared that her daughter assumed she would play the titular character in the snow White live-action, but when he found out Gadot would be the villain, she was not surprised. “When I said ‘No, (I’m playing) the evil queen,’ my eldest was like, ‘Oh, how fitting,’” the actress told the publication.
Gadot and Zegler previously took the stage at D23 in September 2022, where they shared brief images of the two in character.
“Snow White is the girl you remember, but she’s definitely made for the modern age,” Zegler said at the time. “There is so much emphasis on what it means to be the most beautiful of all. For Snow White, it’s about finding her voice and finding her agency so that she can be a fair and just ruler.”
