The return of Futurama took a place on the streaming charts for the last week of July. To take spent another week at No. 1, although it fell (slightly) for the first time since entering the charts at the end of June.
Futurama’The Hulu revival on Hulu (along with the rest of its catalog) racked up 506 million minutes of watch time for the week of July 24-30, ranking third among original series with Netflix’s The Lincoln Attorney. Sweet Magnolias remained the top original for its second week with 1.42 billion minutes watched, up from 1.22 billion a week earlier.
To take racking up 3.6 billion minutes of viewing time for the week, marking the sixth consecutive time as the top overall title. Since the series first hit the charts the week of June 19-25, the series has amassed 20.31 billion minutes of watch time on (primarily) Netflix and Peacock. That’s the second-largest total over a six-week period in the more than three years that Nielsen has tracked streaming viewing, just before Wednesday (20.26 billion minutes during the first six weeks) and beyond Stranger things (27.75 billion) from late May to early July 2022. (It is worth noting that To take has significantly longer running time for the full series than either of the other two, and Nielsen counts viewing time for all episodes.)
The witcher received a significant boost week after week with the release of the final episodes of season three. The fantasy series had 868 million minutes of watch time, an 80 percent improvement from the previous week’s 480 million minutes. Amazon’s Prime Video had three shows in the top 10 originals Jack Ryan (505 million minutes) Good omens (445 million) and The summer I became beautiful (396 million). The one from Netflix They cloned Tyrone was the No. 1 movie on streaming with 664 million minutes of watch time, up 42 percent from its opening week.
Nielsen’s streaming ratings reflect viewing on TV sets only and do not include minutes viewed on computers or mobile devices. The ratings only measure the American audience, not those in other countries. The best streaming titles for July 24-30 are below.
