Angry shopper slams Woolworths for ‘ridiculous’ change in aisles: ‘makes shopping impossible’
- Woolworths has relocated its aisles to provide more space
- As a result, customers experienced a huge “inconvenience”.
A Woolworths shopper recently vented her anger after discovering ‘ridiculous’ and ‘uncomfortable’ details in her grocery store.
The woman expressed her frustration after her nearest store rearranged the aisles to create more space.
The new overhaul caused the large area columns to be placed in the middle of the aisles.
Previously, the store’s design saw the towers lined up with large aisle shelves causing minimal disruption to shoppers.
“You need to look at what your stores are doing, Woolworths,” the customer tweeted angrily.

“This is a funny new design — a lot of the laneways in my local country,” said Teresa, from Western Australia.
The new design also makes it difficult for multiple shoppers using carts to access the same aisle at once.
Woolworths assured customers that the change was temporary and due to urgent repairs.
“The Woolworths Baldivis store has little floor space at the moment as it is undergoing renovation,” a company spokesperson told FEMAIL.
“Some columns have been moved temporarily along with the floor replacement.”
“We know this store is a pillar of the local community and thank customers for their consideration in the coming weeks.”

Many were upset by the change and demanded a better solution.
“One would think a bit of an[occupational health and safety risk],” said one woman.
She added, “There are almost no signs except for one portable warning stand, and nothing large or at head height as a visible warning to all.”
Another asked, “How is the cart supposed to come down there?”
But others were more sympathetic to the supermarket’s plight.
One customer said, “Something needs to raise the roof.”
Another woman added: “The posts are important – many have hanging fire extinguishers.”
