A resurfaced video of Howard Stern in blackface and using the N-word during a skit has sparked fury ahead of his meeting with Kamala Harris.
The 1993 sketch shows Stern, 70, sporting black face paint and white lips while repeatedly using the racial slur.
The part was performed as a parody of Ted Danson’s infamous blackface performance alongside his then-girlfriend Whoopi Goldberg, which came out the same year.
Stern previously apologized for the clip, but it resurfaced on social media as he prepared to sit down with the vice president today, prompting viewers to call it “disgusting.”
Stern plays Danson in blackface, while his partner Robin Quivers questions him. The answers are punchlines that involve the use of the N-word.

When the audience reacts with surprise at the use of the word, Stern defends himself by saying “Whoopi wrote that.”
“Disgusting,” wrote one angry viewer on X. “I’ve seen this over the years. Isn’t it because Stern is a leftist that he gets a pass?
‘This here should have been the end. “Howard Stern, without a doubt, feels too comfortable in this disgusting and vile parody, if anyone should be canceled it’s Stern, he’s a pig,” added another.
‘How do they get away with it? Unbelievable, and that’s not even funny, not even a little bit. “It’s actually pretty despicable and disgusting,” said a third person.
‘Why would Kamala Harris go on Howard Stern’s show? “If she goes on the show with Howard Stern, that will tell America everything they need to know about Kamala Harris,” one person wrote.
Stern’s interview with Harris is part of a media blitz by the vice president, which will also see her appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The View.
Harris has previously sat down for interviews in battleground states, including on radio and podcasts.
But with Stern his audience is likely to be much larger, given his two million subscribers on YouTube.
Many interviews are considered “friendly” territory for the candidate. Donald Trump employs a similar strategy and often appears on Fox News.

Stern previously apologized for the video and explained that he was ‘satirizing’ a similar video of Ted Danson in blackface performing alongside his then-girlfriend Whoopi Goldberg.
The interview will air on Howard’s SiriusXM channel, Howard 100, and will be replayed throughout the week.
Harris will then head west ahead of early voting with stops in Nevada and Arizona.
Stern was previously forced to address the controversy surrounding the clip after Donald Trump Jr. retweeted it in 2020.
“The shit I did was fucking crazy,” he said, as reported by Deadline. ‘I’ll be the first to admit it. I won’t watch those old shows again; It’s like, who is that guy?
‘But that was my trick, that’s what I did and I got it. I don’t think Nazi groups or hate groups would accept me. They seemed to think I was against them too. Everyone had unfinished business with me.
“The big headline is this, and this is my fear in all of this,” Stern continued. ‘I was able to change my focus, I was able to change my life and change my way of communicating. If I had to do it all over again, would I make fun of Ted Danson, a white guy in blackface?
‘Yes, I was satirizing it and saying: I’m going to shed light on this. But would I do it the same way now? Probably not. Probably not, I wouldn’t.
Trump Jr. retweeted the clip with the caption: ‘Ouch! NSFW: Howard Stern says the N-word too many times during a terrible blackface impression that should make Libs scream “CANCEL!”
Stern is due to post his interview with the vice president on his SiriusXM channel, Howard 100, at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.
The resurfaced clip sparked a furor on social media and led many to question why the vice president would sit down with Stern.
But Stern responded, saying it was “crazy” for Trump Jr. to focus on the video at a time when the coronavirus and Black Lives Matter protests were in full swing.
‘Am I a bad guy? I don’t believe it,” Stern said. ‘Donald Trump didn’t believe it, he was on my show 27 times. Donnie Junior did the show. On TV he said, “I’m really disappointed in Howard, he’s changed,” that I’ve gone to Hollywood .
‘Which is it? Do you want me to put on blackface and make fun of Ted Danson? I’ve changed… I remember how much Donald Jr. wanted to take a photo with me. Dude, if you’re the president of the United States and you want to worry about me, go ahead.’
