People have criticized a self-proclaimed “rich man” for his extravagant behavior after he decided to park his £130,000 4×4 in the disabled area of a supermarket.

Luke Desmaris, 28, posted a clip on his TikTok account of him parking the large Mercedes vehicle in what appeared to be a Sainsbury’s car park.

Explaining his reasoning for doing so, Desmaris attacked disabled people, stating that he would finish shopping before 100 people who needed a disabled parking spot arrived.

He said: ‘I’m a very fast person and I need to be close to the shops to save time.

‘Time is money and in the two minutes I am in the store, 100 disabled people are not going to show up. That’s why I park in a handicapped spot.

In response to the video, other users quickly found a flaw in his supposed logic, pointing out that if he wanted to save time by being closer to the store, he could park outside of a handicapped space and be closer to the entrance.

One user responded: “But there are spaces closer to the store doors.”

A disabled person added: “It’s not two minutes, it’s a disabled bay, I’m disabled and people like you are fit and healthy to walk a mile to the shops.”

Another noted that he simply “had no right to park there.”

A fourth also asked why he was showing the video in a seemingly empty parking lot, with no activity or sight of other shoppers around him.

They wrote: “You better explain why it’s in an empty Sainsbury’s car park.”

It comes after a friend filmed Luke driving his £130,000 Mercedes G Wagon into an empty bus lane to avoid a queue of cars waiting in traffic.

The cost of fines for driving in bus lanes varies by country.

Within Greater London you may be charged up to £160, or £80 if you pay within 14 days, while in other parts of the country it can cost up to £60.

In the video, the online trader, who dropped out of school in grade six, said: ‘For poor people, this is a bus lane. For the rich it is a VIP lane to avoid traffic. “We don’t care about fines.”

Desmaris was beaten by other drivers who were outraged by his actions.

Charlie Francis fumed: “Police and ambulances use these lanes to respond to emergencies.”

Nick Chorlton said: “So if everyone was rich it would be just another blocked lane.”

“Typical idiot, just because you can afford to do something doesn’t mean you should.”

Another person said: “It’s a bit sad though.” He obviously thinks you’re above everyone else.

One added: “He’ll care when he loses his license.”
