Furious Strictly Come Dancing fans have claimed a star is “breaking the rules” and accused judges of giving them “special treatment” on a show for the first time on Saturday night.
Opera singer Wynne Evans, 52, is paired with professional dancer Katya Jones in the current series and this week they performed a week of Rumba for Icons to the song This Is My Life by Shirley Bassey.
She scored an impressive 30 points for the routine from judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke.
But some viewers took to Twitter to accuse him of breaking the show’s rules after the singer sang the last line of the song to finish his routine and showed off his incredible voice.
They said it wasn’t fair that she could show off her day job talents when others on the show couldn’t do the same, suggesting she focus more on dancing.

Opera singer Wynne Evans, 52, is paired with professional dancer Katya Jones in the current series and this week they performed a week of Rumba for Icons to Shirley Bassey’s song This Is My Life.
At the end of the dance, presenter Tess Daly said: “There you blew the hair off the back of my arms.” That was something. We know Wynne can sing, but how was that rumba?
Anton was full of praise, calling it “the best ending to any act I’ve ever seen in my entire life,” adding, “That was incredible.” I loved that.’
But fans said they thought it was unfair that she was allowed to sing, writing online: “For the second week in a row, Katya danced around a barely moving Wynne and singing is not dancing.”
“Wynne singing over and over at a dance contest really wasn’t necessary.”,
‘I’m sorry this isn’t a singing contest. How is it fair that Wynne sings at the end? Always giving him new rules and special treatment.’,
“Wynne just stood there while Katya danced around her and then spent the last 20 seconds singing (when it’s not a singing show) just wanting more attention.”
‘Those scores DO NOT match what he did. I repeat last week’s thoughts.
However, others loved her singing as they wrote: ‘I really loved Wynne’s routine and the powerful, inspiring message she conveyed, not to mention the incredible vocal finish at the end!’ You should be very proud!’,

‘Wynne may have sacrificed some dancing for his passion for the song choice. I enjoyed the performance though.”
It comes after Wynne found himself in further controversy after a “vulgar” joke he allegedly made behind the scenes was “leaked.”
He reportedly joked that his double chin resembled female genitalia while putting on makeup backstage.
Insiders claim Wynne made the nasty joke before the BBC quiz show’s glitzy launch show and said it in a private conversation with a make-up artist.
A source said The mirror: “It was a bit of a vulgar dad joke.”
The publication claims that at least one other person was in the room at the time, adding that the makeup artist was not offended by Wynne’s joke.
It is said that while no formal complaints were made, staff members were not amused.
The source added: “Wynne clearly meant no offense, but you have to be a little careful these days.”
A friend of Wynne’s is said to have claimed that Wynne’s cheeky comment was “a display of self-hatred” and told it confidentially to the makeup artist while others were present.
MailOnline has contacted representatives from Strictly and Wynne for comment.
The alleged prank came weeks before the Welsh singer and actor became involved in a ‘wandering hand’ incident with his professional partner Katya.
It comes after Wynne found himself in further controversy after a “vulgar” joke he allegedly made behind the scenes was “leaked.”
Viewers watched the moment Katya pushed Wynne’s hand away from her waist and rejected his attempt to high-five her.
The dance partners then spent the week defending their awkward exchange during a live show three weeks ago.
The incident caused such concern among BBC top brass, who have spent months quelling allegations of misconduct in previous series, that a welfare inquiry was carried out.
Katya had confirmed that she had not felt uncomfortable and no further action was taken.
