Furious Hasidic protesters knocked an innocent man unconscious, set face masks on fire and assaulted a reporter as they gathered on the streets of Brooklyn on Wednesday to protest the restrictions of the coronavirus.
The streets of Borough Park were in chaos as community members forced a photographer to retire to his car and reported it to the police when a scuffle broke out involving a television reporter.
“Here in Borough Park we don’t obey the laws of America,” shouted one protester, the New York Daily News reports. “We have our own laws.”

A group of Orthodox Jewish men attacked Jewish insider reporter Jacob Kornbluh, spurred on by Brooklyn City Council candidate Harold “Heshy” Tischler.

Protesters insisted that health restrictions were religiously motivated and traffic stopped when they took to the streets. Protesters started a bonfire wearing protective masks and forced an FDNY truck to pull out because firefighters feared for their lives.

“The real reason what’s going on is that this is Trump’s country,” said Heshy Fried. The 57-year-old wore a ‘Trump 2020’ face on Wednesday morning.
He added, “ All areas they are trying to close … vote 90% for Trump. It’s political and everyone knows it. ‘
No arrests were made at the demonstrations.
In an earlier part of the demonstration, a crowd threw bottles and stones at Berish Getz while filming video from a lamp post. He eventually had to be carried on a stretcher.

“Good news,” tweeted Mordy Getz, the victim’s brother. ‘My brother is now conscious and went through scans to see what injuries his body suffered from the attack … We want full investigation and prosecution. Machers are already trying to close the story. ‘
The video also featured protesters chasing the NYC sheriff’s deputies away, shouting ‘Jewish Lives Matter’.
