JK Rowling responded angrily to the New York Times after it published an article saying that opponents of gender ideology often had to “endure their relentless criticism.”
The Harry Potter author argued that the article had downplayed the trans activist movement and that its response had, in fact, been much more threatening.
He said he had been sent “thousands of threats of murder, rape and violence” and that his address had been published along with a “guide to bomb-making”.
It came after the article, published on November 26, said Ms Rowling had simply been accused of betraying “real feminism” after she spoke out against gender ideology.
The article also noted that “some angry critics posted videos of themselves burning their books.”
Similarly, he discussed how a Democratic congressman was labeled a “Nazi cooperator” after he raised concerns about trans athletes competing in women’s sports.
However, in a furious response published yesterday in
‘I haven’t just been told that I ‘betrayed real feminism’ nor have I received some book burning videos. They have sent me thousands of threats of murder, rape and violence.

‘A trans woman posted my family’s address with a guide to making bombs. My eldest daughter was attacked by a prominent trans activist who tried to deceive her and ended up deceiving the wrong young woman.
‘I could write a twenty thousand word essay about what the consequences have been for me and my family, and what we have endured is NOTHING compared to the harm caused to others.
“In facing a movement that is based on threats of violence, ostracism and guilt by association, we have all been maligned and maligned, but many have lost their livelihoods.”
The Harry Potter author previously criticized Barbra Banda, after Orlando Pride were named BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year.
She has also been involved in several Twitter disputes with trans news anchor India Willoughby.
It comes after Rowling criticized John Oliver for “spouting nonsense” during a segment of her show in which he said women face no threats to their safety when competing against trans athletes.
On a more recent episode of Last Week Tonight from November, Oliver said there was “no evidence (of trans athletes) posting any threats to safety or justice.”
“There are very few trans girls competing in high schools in the world,” Oliver began.
‘Even if there were more, trans children, like all children, vary in their athletic ability and there is no evidence that they pose any threat to safety or justice. It’s very strange that you are so focused on this topic.
Rowling, described the late-night host as “an undeniably intelligent person who says absolute nonsense to support something he wants to be true, but isn’t.”
She added in her post on , that seems fine to me; You are allowed your opinion.

“But if you just told girls that they don’t deserve a fair sport, maybe reconsider using the all-too-real and common sexual predation against young women as the punchline to your ‘edgy’ final joke.”
He cited the case of Payton McNabb, the volleyball player who was left partially paralyzed by a transgender opponent who hit her in the face with a ball at the age of 17, and said: “Girls have been kicked off teams to make way for the children.” Women have suffered serious injuries playing against trans-identified men.
McNabb was 17 when a ball thrown hard by a trans opponent hit her in the face, knocking her to the ground and knocking her out of consciousness.
The 5-foot-11 trans player laughed with joy, McNabb said, after sending her to the ground. Like other players on the opposing team.
Ms. McNabb was left with brain damage and paralysis on her right side, ending her dreams of a college volleyball scholarship and making it difficult for her to walk without falling.
She previously told DailyMail.com that she is concerned about other female athletes who must compete against trans athletes.
She said: ‘There is a biological difference between the two (trans women and women), there is a difference in sports because of this in the first place.
‘It’s dangerous for two (sexes) to compete together, and it’s just not right. Personally, I dislike this. This is morally wrong and wrong.
‘It used to be illegal for men to hit women, and now people put it on TV and watch it. It is such a strange reality that we live in now.”
