With three weeks until Christmas, families have festively decorated their homes – and some have opted for unique decorative trees.
From a Star Wars-inspired themed tree to keeping it simple and making festive pillars with baubles, shoppers with a range of budgets have been sharing their creations on Facebook.
Another woman decided to make a Christmas tree out of sticks and a third chose to hang her tree from the ceiling to ensure it would not be attacked by pets.

Alongside images on Facebook, she wrote, “Christmas tree made from Kmart’s huge baubles. Easy and fun to make.’
She also shared the six-step process, which requires a no-glue hot glue gun.
A mother of three from Newcastle also shared her household’s impressive Star Wars-themed tree, which looked just like Darth Vader.
“House full of boys, we went a little different this year,” the mother wrote on Facebook.
The black tree was decorated with silver, red and black ornaments from Kmart along with a Darth Vader costume from Big W.
The tree was decorated with Darth Vader’s lightsaber, mask and cape.

Other Star Wars fans were deeply impressed by the unique tree.
“My husband would love that tree. Our son was born on May 4. He wanted to call him Anakin so badly that we fought about it for nine days (I won and we now have an Aiden),’ one woman wrote.
Another said, ‘Omg my seven year old son would love that tree, he’s obsessed with Star Wars. Can’t wait to show him this when he wakes up in the morning. He goes [have his] stunned.’
Although some admitted that their children would be afraid to see the silhouette at night.

A third customer opted for something a little lighter with a simple, elegant “twig tree” from Kmart. The silver-trunked tree has golden lights at the tops, along with beautiful pink and white flowers, ornaments and butterflies (pictured)

This tree would be perfect for those on a budget, who don’t have a lot of space or can’t be bothered to put up a huge tree this Christmas.
Others described it online as “beautiful” and “gorgeous.”

Those who also have space or a high budget may want to make another twig tree using sticks from the garden. To make this type of tree you will need branches, string, lights and decorations

On Facebook, a fourth woman shared images and wrote, “This year with the forest theme for Christmas, all from Kmart except the tree.”
No glue, scissors or zip ties are required as the branches are simply wrapped in the rope hanging from a hook on the wall.
Branches of varying lengths are needed to create the triangular shape of a tree; the smallest stick should be placed at the top and the longest at the bottom.

What Christmas looks like at our house!! My way of making the Christmas tree child and pet proof,” she wrote.
“The feet are attached to the inside of the ceiling with a support plate to support the weight.”
