The Fulton County grand jury also wanted to charge Lindsey Graham with election fraud: a Trump panel report reveals that Michael Flynn and three Republican senators were also targeted.
The Fulton County grand jury has recommended charges against Lindsey Graham in connection with the Georgia elections, according to new court documents.
Jurors also recommended charges against Michael Flynn, who served as an adviser to Donald Trump, and against Georgia’s two former Republican senators, David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.
Graham, the Republican senator from Georgia who was a staunch Trump ally, in the weeks after the 2020 election called for Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.
Raffensperger said he interpreted questions about whether some mail-in ballots could be rejected as a suggestion to reject legally cast votes.
Graham said that as a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, he was interested in cases of possible voter fraud. He denied any wrongdoing.
“I was chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and I had to vote to certify an election,” Graham told reporters this summer. ‘It’s ridiculous. This militarization of the law must stop. So I will use the courts. We will go as far as necessary and do whatever is necessary to ensure that people like me can do their job without fear of a county attorney coming after you.
Graham fought not to testify before the Georgia grand jury and was ultimately ordered to do so by the Supreme Court.
