I want to start with all the great medical professionals, the doctors, the nurses, everyone at Walter Reed Medical Center – I think it’s the best in the world – for the incredible work they’ve done.
I came here, I didn’t feel so well, I feel much better now. We are working hard to get me back. I have to go all the way back because we still have to make America great again.
We did that very well, but we still have steps to take and I have to finish that job. I’ll be back, I guess, I’ll be back soon and I look forward to finishing the campaign the way it started, the way we’ve done it and the kind of numbers we’ve done.

President Trump gave a speech in a Twitter video Saturday night saying he was ‘starting to feel good’ and was fighting the coronavirus
We have been so proud of it but this was something that happened and it was something that happened to millions of people around the world and I fought for them not just in the US, I fight for them all around the world .
We’re going to beat the coronavirus or whatever you want to call it and we’re going to beat it solidly.
So many things are happening when you look at the therapies that I am using now, some of them and others that are coming out soon and that honestly look like miracles, if you want to know the truth. People criticize me when I say that, but things are happening that look like they are miracles that come from God, so I just want to tell you that I’m starting to feel good.
I don’t know the next few days, I guess. that’s the real test, so we’ll see what happened in the next few days
I just want to be grateful for all the support I’ve seen, whether it’s on television, reading about it, most of all I appreciate what has been said by the American people, almost a bipartisan consensus, by the American people. It is beautiful to see and I appreciate it very much and I will not forget it
I also want to thank the leaders of the world for their condolences and they know what we are going through. They know what your leader is and what I have to go through.
But I had no choice because I just didn’t want to stay in the White House. I got that alternative: stay in the White House, lock yourself up, never leave, don’t even go to the Oval Office, just stay upstairs and enjoy. Don’t see people, don’t talk to people, and just be done with it and I can’t, I had to be up front and this is America, this is the United States, the best country in the world. This is the most powerful country in the world. I can’t be locked up in a room upstairs and be completely safe and just say ‘hey, whatever happens, will happen’. I can not do that.
We have to face problems. As a leader you have to face problems. There has never been a great leader who would have done that.
So that’s where it is. I am doing well, I want to thank everyone. Our first lady is doing very well. Melania asked me to say something about the respect she has for our country, the love she has for our country. And we are both doing well.
Trump, in the photo, posted the video update on Twitter Saturday night
Melania copes very well as you have probably read, she is a little younger than me, just a little bit.
And that’s why we know the disease, we know the situation with age versus younger people and Melania statistically treats it like it’s supposed to be treated and that makes me very happy and it makes the country very happy, but it’s also going well and I think we are going to achieve a very good result.
Again, in the next few days we’ll probably know for sure, so I want to say thank you to everyone out there, everyone around the world, especially the United States – the outpouring of love has been incredible. I will never forget it. Thank you very much.
