The goal is to accelerate the recruitment and advancement of world-class talent in Data and Security. This is an urgent priority for society and businesses in this age of increasing connectivity and uncertainty.

From April 2023, Fujitsu will establish a new Tel Aviv location. This will allow Fujitsu further increase its presence there with a team made up of Israeli experts and European researchers. This team will be dedicated to strengthening security technology for communications networks as part of Fujitsu’s global strategy for Data and Security, one of 5 key technology areas under the company’s global R&D strategy.

Fujitsu began to tap into the potential of Israeli tech talent and established the “Fujitsu Cybersecurity Center of Excellence Israel” at Ben-Gurion University of the Nevev in 2021.

Research Overview
Technology companies must ensure trust for all connected people and data in an increasingly global world where the digital and real are constantly merged with developments such as Web 3.0 and Metaverse. Fujitsu currently develops IDYX technology(1) and CDL technology(2). Transparent trust technology(3) is also being developed by Fujitsu to enable this type of trust to be realized on a global level in the data security and privacy space.

The new research center will initially focus on R&D on the following two themes:

1. The complexity of society will increase as the world becomes more borderless. It is essential to provide reliable information that can be used as a foundation for trust in digital space. This will allow you to build relationships with diverse stakeholders around the world. Fujitsu is developing new technologies to secure trust that are based on real-world data, such as data sources, in order to achieve this goal. Combining the knowledge and expertise of Ben-Gurion University in cyber and network security and our trust technology and know-how we will conduct research to create trust for network security that combines digital and real-world technologies. We will then deploy the results worldwide.

2. Fujitsu is committed to solving social problems through the global implementation of technologies that can be used for a variety situations. These technologies include autonomous driving, self checkout, public safety, and anti-attack technologies.

(1) IDYX:
IDentitY Exchange: Fujitsu’s technology to securely share personal identities, such as IDs or attribute information, between companies and individuals.
(2) CDL:
Chain Data Lineage is Fujitsu technology that allows you to trace the distribution and processing of data back to their source. This technology allows for end-to-end traceability across companies and improves the reliability of data distribution across different industries.
(3) Trust technology transparent:
Technology to protect against falsification of business data being created and approved between companies and government ministries.
