From prince to page: Nine-year-old George is given a role of honor at King Charles’ coronation
Prince George is the most senior – and youngest – page of honor chosen by the King and Queen.
But all the boys who will carry the couple’s robes to Westminster Abbey show Charles and Camilla’s determination to put loyal family and friends at the center of this historic occasion.
While the Prince and Princess of Wales were moved by the King’s desire for his grandson to play such an important role, they wanted to ensure that nine-year-old George felt the interest of public scrutiny.
After discussions with their eldest son and future king, they were delighted that he would rise to the occasion.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson said last night: “We are all very excited about Prince George’s role in the coronation, it will be an incredibly special moment.”

All Pages of Honor Queen Consort come from Her Majesty’s Family. They include her grandchildren Joss and Luis Lopez, 13, and Freddie Parker Bowles, 12.
The Page of Honor is a historical ceremonial position, now used only on official occasions.
The King’s pages also include Nicholas Barclay, 13, grandson of Sarah Troughton, one of the Queen’s companions and oldest friend.
He will be joined by Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, 13, son of David, Marquess of Cholmondeley, and his former model wife Rose. Oliver’s father has recently been appointed as Lord in Waiting to the King – an important royal role.

Page four is Ralph Tollemache, 12, son of respected British banker and aristocrat Edward Tollemmach – godson of the King and page in honor of Queen Elizabeth.

Her nephew, Arthur Elliott, 10 – whose father was former Tory chairman Ben Elliott – will be her fourth page.
