Just when the cast of Friends announced they would be taking part in a reunion interview together, COVID-19 grabbed the planet and left the special on ice.
But according to reports, the cast has been assured that ideas will continue to flow out of lockdown by participating in Zoom video meetings.
A source said The sun: “Once the filming was over [postponed] everyone panicked because it took so long to coordinate their schedules, there was great fear that it might take a year or even longer to get them all back together.

Courteney [Cox] they immediately organized a Zoom meeting and they all logged in to discuss ideas – brain storming and bringing in the producers for a session they called a fake rehearsal and chatting for almost two hours.
“They have daily meetings and Jen [Aniston] – which has the busiest schedule of the six – has assured them that she will do everything she can to make sure they don’t have to wait months to film the reunion.
“Their zoom sessions were great fun, and there’s hilarious material on it that they hope can be broadcast as a series of teasers or even as a standalone special.”

The actor – who played soap star Lothario Joey Tribbiani on the American sitcom – has claimed that ‘we brought the band back together without the instruments!’ when he appeared on a pre-recorded segment for The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Matt, 52, added, “The six of us are talking about the good old days.”
The special features fellow cast members Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Jennifer and Courteney.
Shooting would begin in late March, but production would be pushed to May at the earliest, according to Variety.
HBO Max and Warner Bros. Television declined to comment, but the delay is only the latest production to be sidelined by the outbreak of the deadly virus.

Although there have been rumors and speculation about a reunion of friends for years, The Hollywood Reporter revealed in November that a reunion special is taking place on HBO Max.
Each of the show’s main stars – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer – were chatting to return, with the series’ creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman.
The deals were finalized and the reunion special was officially announced in late February, confirming that the cast will be reuniting for an ‘untitled unscripted special’.

The streaming service will also take all 236 episodes of Friends through the iconic run of the original 10-season sitcom.

WarnerMedia reportedly spent a whopping $ 425 million in five years to air the original series, excluding Netflix.

The Friends special is the latest in a long line of film and TV productions canceled or delayed due to the spread of COVID-19.
