Friends star Jennifer Aniston wows in low-cut dress first worn by Courteney Cox twenty years ago
Jennifer Aniston treated Friends fans to a fun throwback after sharing a photo of herself in a dress first seen on her former co-star Courtney Cox nearly 20 years ago.
The 53-year-old actress decided to wear the cap-sleeved dress she took to a hairdressing session with her regular stylist Chris McMillan this weekend.
The Horrible Bosses star took to Instagram on Sunday, posting an Instagram Story collage for the first time of Cox, 57, who wore the low-cut number while in character as Monica Geller on the hit sitcom series.
I still have it! Jennifer Aniston revealed that she still owns – and wears – a dress she got from the set of Friends
Oh my God! The dress was originally worn by fellow Friends star Courteney Cox as her character Monica Geller
Aniston tagged Cox and Friends’ official Instagram account in her post, “Does this dress look familiar to you? I still have it.’
The actress then reposted the selfie image shared by McMillan and saw the actress put on a busty display in the dress while also showing off her voluminous waves.
The Morning Show actress had previously admitted to taking the dress from the set, which Cox first wore in 2002 on the 22nd episode of season eight of the iconic series.
During an interview promoting the Friends reunion special in May 2021, Aniston said: People: ‘I went in [Monica]’s clothing line and I pulled it out and I still have it and wear it to this day.
Blast from the past: Cox (pictured alongside co-star Lisa Kudrow) wore the dress during the 22nd episode of season eight, broadcast in 2002
“I’m still wearing it and it fits. They are small flowers with a black lace V-neckline and cap sleeves with a light ruffle. It will always be in style.’
Aniston and Cox, 57, have remained close friends after nearly a decade of working together on their iconic NBC sitcom, which ran from 1994 to 2004.
While the pair have been seen regularly in the years since the show’s end, they were happy to reunite with the rest of the Friends cast — Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc — in May 2021.
The reunion special aired on HBO and featured appearances from the likes of Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, who paid tribute to their favorite moments from the beloved sitcom.
Friends premiered its very first episode in September 1994 and ran for an impressive ten seasons on NBC.

In a recent conversation with Marvel star Sebastian Stan for VarietyIn the Actors on Actors series, Aniston shared her true feelings about having to reminisce about her time as Rachel Green.
“I don’t know if we expected it to hit us as hard as it did in the emotional gut. We just had this idea this was going to be so much fun – we’re going back to the sets just the way they were. And literally every corner of a shelf was the same. It was so creepy. But all of us, we walked in, it was like, “Oh!”‘ she explained.
Aniston continued, “Time travel. It was ’04 when it ended. And we were different. We were so small. Our life lay before us. And so much has changed. We had some kind of rose-colored glasses in it. And then it was like, “This is really a lot tougher than I thought.” But I wouldn’t change it one bit. Every time we all get together, it’s like no time has passed.
‘We actually grew up together and learned a lot from each other. We cheated on each other because the world was happening. We exploded, and that kind of fame was sudden. And we were in these four walls and doing the show, and this madness happens. And thank goodness we had each other, because we really couldn’t talk about it outside. It was before social media, so we still had some common sense.”
