Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson are reportedly “engaged.”
The Coldplay singer, 47, proposed to the Hollywood actress, 34, ‘a while ago’ and has the full blessing of his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow and their children Apple and Moses.
The couple has always kept things private since they began their relationship six years ago.
But a source said Mirror: ‘The couple got engaged a while ago and have kept the news private. But now they are being open about it with their circles. They have been in love with each other since day one, so taking the next step was inevitable.
“They’re in no rush to plan the wedding, they’re just enjoying making their engagement official.”

MailOnline has contacted Chris and Dakota’s representatives for comment.
Chris and Dakota met through mutual friends, rather than any instance of them working together, and “have never really left each other” since then, the actress told Vanity Fair in June 2022.
This is completely believable, since people in show business are never more than a degree or two apart from each other.
They were first seen together in 2017, a year after the pop star and Gwyneth’s divorce.
However, it was initially unclear whether the pair were dating or just close.
In June 2019, the couple faltered, rumored to be a result of the Coldplay man pressuring them to have children.
This was a leap that Dakota, in her professional prime, was not willing to take. However, before the summer was over, they got back together.
They will be very happy that they apparently got matching infinity sign tattoos in 2018.
Dakota has now said she loves Chris and Gwyneth’s two children “like my life depended on it.”
In an interview with Bustle, the actress, 34, opened up about being a stepmom to Apple, 19, and Moses, 17, the teenage children Coldplay singer Chris shares with Gwyneth.
She also revealed that she was “open” to having her own children if that were the case.
‘I love those kids like my life depended on it. With all my heart,” Dakota said of Apple and Moses.

As a member of a large mixed-race family, Dakota, who was recently spotted in Malibu, has learned to accept connections that are not related to blood.
When the reporter mentioned a photo Gwyneth posted of her and Dakota, he said, “I grew up in a very big family and I believe in the saying, ‘Blood is thicker than water,'” he explained.
‘The actual saying is, “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb,” meaning that the connections with the people you choose are stronger than the connections with the people you were actually born with.’
Dakota’s parents are actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson. The two separated: Don married Kelley Phleger in 1999 and Melanie married Antonio Banderas in 1996. They divorced in 2015.
Now, Dakota is ready to have children of her own.

The actress has been dating Coldplay frontman Chris since 2017, but watching him perform on stage never gets old.

The couple has lived together in a multi-million dollar beach house in Malibu for a few years now.

They support each other professionally, with Dakota appearing at Chris’s concerts and Chris appearing at Dakota’s premieres.

They even worked together once, with Dakota, the director of Coldplay’s 2020 music video for the song Cry Cry Cry.
