Scammers have set up a fake fundraising page to blow up money from ruined friends and relatives of a couple who collapsed when climbing a waterfall.
The bodies of Simon Walker (24) and Sherei Anderson (32) were found on Monday evening in Goldsborough, in the far north of Queensland.
The couple were reported missing after they didn't come to work on Monday.
And while friends and family mourn their loss, heartless drawbacks have set up a Go Get Funding page asking for money.
It is believed that the bodies of a man and a woman in the far north of Queensland are those of Simon Walker, 24, and Sherei Anderson, 32 (photo) who were reported missing when they didn't work Monday
Police said they found the bodies on Monday while searching in Goldsborough, 46 kilometers southwest of Cairns (Mr. Walker and Mrs. Anderson in the photo)
A Facebook post that was shared after their disappearance said that Mr. Walker and Mrs. Anderson (photo) had not been heard since last Wednesday when they left to go camping in the Goldsborough Valley
Mrs. Anderson & # 39; s friend Samantha Ann gave an urgent warning about the page and told others not to donate, The Cairns Post reported.
& # 39; Please do not finance this page because it is not a legitimate page & # 39 ;, she wrote on Facebook.
& # 39; We have already contacted the website to have it removed, but this can take a few hours.
& # 39; At this stage, nothing has been approved by the family, but will advise if this will change. & # 39;
& # 39; Unbelievable how low people will bow to pray about people's vulnerability, & # 39; wrote a person on the post.
The police believed that the pair had tried to climb the steep and slippery rock above the swimming hole when they slipped and fell dead.
The area where they were found is forbidden to people.
Friends, colleagues & former classmates of Mr Walker, who was a member of the Townsville defense, and Mrs. Anderson, have paid tribute to the couple online.
Mr Walker's mother, Beryl Walker, shared a photo of her son on Facebook on Tuesday afternoon (photo) with the caption & # 39; my heart & # 39; including sympathetic condolences
& # 39; I'm so sorry, she was a beautiful person and a fantastic nurse who was very loved by her colleague & # 39; s, & # 39; Gaby Norman wrote.
& # 39; Love and condolences to you and your family right now. & # 39;
In another post, Cheryl Lyn Delaney wrote: & Chloe, you and your sisters have my deepest condolences, Sherei was one of the most beautiful people I have ever met, she will be missed. & # 39;
& # 39; I went to school with Sherei, only you and your family want to send love. She was a wonderful person, & wrote Sarah Leigh Harding.
