Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has signed up with Fox News Media as a paid contributor as the network continues to track down prominent figures from the Trump administration and the former president’s own family.
Pompeo, who served as the CIA director and as a member of the Republican House from Kansas in addition to being the nation’s top diplomat, is a potential presidential candidate in 2024.
Pompeo managed to avoid clashes with Trump that arose between the president and other top members of his security team, though he experienced his own backlashes. He had to approach his last planned trip to Europe days before leaving office after Luxembourg’s foreign minister and top European Union officials refused to meet with him in the wake of the Capitol uprising.

Shortly after he left office, he was awarded a position as a distinguished fellow at the conservative Hudson Institute.
The potential presidential candidate later this week is scheduled to attend the ‘Save America’ fundraising event at Trump’s golf club in Doral, Florida.
Fox has a long history of providing a platform and compensation to top Republican officials biding their time between Republican governments. A handful of 2016 contenders had held live performances on the network, and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee had his own show and was a contributor.
Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany also moved to Fox, who is a co-anchor of the network’s Outnumbered program, where her first performance aired this week.
McEnany’s final financial disclosure form revealed she had an agreement with Fox, though the company released a statement on January 6 stating that McEnany ‘is not currently an employee or associate at FOX News. ‘

As a now former diplomat and member of Congress, and in this new role at FOX News Media, I intend to give viewers a candid, no-nonsense look at geopolitics, international relations and the America First policies that have contributed to setting the course for unprecedented American prosperity and security, ”Pompeo said in a statement from the network.
It will appear on multiple platforms, including the Fox Business Network.
Trump attacked the network late in his tenure, encouraging his followers to look at rivals networks Newsmax and OAN. But he called again at Fox & Friends and Fox business host Maria Bartiromo after leaving the White House. Twitter banned Trump after the riot and a string of his allegations of electoral fraud, and he has made statements through his post-presidential office and his Save America PAC.
