Four brazen thieves used a sledgehammer to break into a New York jewelry store and make off with $100,000 worth of merchandise in broad daylight.

Nyken Alston, 21, Alfred Long, 35, Alexander Wilson, 21, of the Bronx, were arrested for breaking the window of the Golden Square jewelry store in Yonkers around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police are still searching for a fourth unidentified suspect.

Alston and Long were charged with felony burglary, grand theft and breaking and entering and were arraigned on Friday. Wilson was hospitalized following a car accident and will be ‘charged in the near future’.

Surveillance footage shows two of them hitting the window with sledgehammers multiple times as two others enter the frame. They make a small hole, pushing their hands inside to create a bigger one as they pull out a pile of jewels and gold.

The other two team up by ripping out broken glass and stealing the expensive items from the display before running off in a dark pickup truck, Yonkers police reported.

A store clerk can be seen running to the sidewalk, grabbing one of the discarded mallets and running after the group. The SUV can be seen weaving through traffic and appears to hit a parked car during its escape. The worker runs after them before giving up.

Police arrived at the scene a few minutes later and found the vehicle in the Park Hill neighborhood. The four men led authorities on a brief chase before the vehicle “smashed into the retaining wall of a residential home on Marshall Road,” police said in a statement.

The four men ‘abandoned’ the car and ‘attempted to flee on foot’.

“Two of the suspects were captured within minutes, and a third within an hour as they attempted to escape and hide in the wooded area adjacent to Saw Mill River Parkway,” the Yonkers Police Department said.
